- Eco Week and Outdoor Learning Collaboration

Pupils from Belmont recently joined forces with Grimsdell, Mill Hill Pre-Prep, for a fantastic Eco Week and Outdoor Learning collaboration, creating a memorable day filled with shared learning, creativity and fun.
As part of the initiative, our Year 5 pupils took on an important leadership role, walking to Grimsdell to work alongside and support the younger children. This experience provided a wonderful opportunity for Belmont pupils to build confidence, strengthen their communication skills, and develop meaningful connections, while fostering a strong sense of community between the schools.
The day was packed with engaging, hands-on activities designed to promote sustainability and creativity. Working together, pupils created imaginative recycled artwork, transforming everyday materials into colourful and inventive pieces. They also shared poetry inspired by nature and the environment, encouraging thoughtful reflection on the world around them.
One of the highlights of the day was decorating biscuits, which brought plenty of excitement and smiles.
not only celebrated Eco Week and outdoor learning but also showcased the benefits of collaboration. Our Belmont pupils returned with a deeper appreciation of environmental responsibility, along with positive memories of leading, learning, and working together.
