Remembrance Day Service 2025
Today we came together to honour and remember those who have served, sacrificed, and continue to fight for our freedom. Remembrance Day is a tradition that holds deep significance for our community, pupils and staff gathered in the quad to reflect on bravery, sacrifice, and the value of peace.
We were honoured to welcome Reverend Jo James, who led a moving service reminding us of the importance of remembering those who came before us. The service began with a powerful performance from our drummers, George P (8JN) and Mr Florendzou, setting a poignant tone.
Henry T (5JD) played The Last Post on trumpet, a solemn tribute that resonated throughout the School. Arya G (8AC) shared a poetic reflection, reading Lest We Forget, offering a heartfelt reminder of the courage and commitment of those who served.
Today’s service was more than a ceremony; it was a moment of reflection, unity, and learning. We pause together to honour lives given in the pursuit of freedom, and to acknowledge the ongoing responsibility we share to cherish peace. At Belmont, Remembrance Day is a tradition that connects us, inspires gratitude, and reminds us of the values that shape our community.
Lest we forget.
