Belmont Takes on the Primary Athletics Championships

This week Belmont proudly took part in the Primary Athletics Championships for the very first time. The event was held over a full day at the Stone X Stadium and brought together a fantastic team of pupils from Years 3 to 6. 

Our athletes competed across a wide range of disciplines, including field, track and relay events. Throughout the day, every pupil demonstrated determination, resilience and excellent teamwork, giving their very best in each event. Their collective efforts resulted in an outstanding overall team performance.

 We are delighted to share that Belmont achieved 3rd place in the field events, an impressive 1st place in the track events, and an exceptional 2nd place overall in the competition. 

Beyond these fantastic results, the pupils should be incredibly proud of how they represented themselves and the school. Competing in their first athletics event at this level within their respective year groups is a significant achievement in itself. In what were extremely challenging weather conditions, their positive attitude, sportsmanship and commitment truly stood out. 

A huge well done to all involved- you have set a brilliant standard for future teams and represented Belmont with pride.
