Belmont Pupils Raise Funds for YoungMinds Through Charity Day Fun

Pupils at Belmont came together for a day of fundraising, creativity and friendly competition as the Angles hosted their annual Charity Day in support of YoungMinds, a charity dedicated to improving the mental health and wellbeing of young people.

The event formed part of a wider week of charitable activity across the school, which also included the Saxons Charity Fair. Throughout the day, pupils embraced a range of fun activities, all designed to raise money for a worthy cause while bringing the school community together.

Among the highlights was the ever-popular "Sponge the Teacher" challenge, which saw members of staff bravely volunteer to become targets during break time. Pupils eagerly lined up for the chance to test their aim, creating plenty of laughter and memorable moments.

Another favourite attraction was the "Beat the Keeper" shootout competition. With the challenge of scoring past members of staff standing in goal, pupils appeared to discover an extra level of determination and skill, much to the delight of spectators gathered around the pitch.

Alongside the games, pupils enjoyed a variety of fundraising stalls and treats, with every contribution helping to support the important work of YoungMinds. The charity provides vital support, resources and advocacy for young people's mental health, making it a cause that resonated strongly with the Belmont community.

The day was a wonderful example of pupils using their energy and enthusiasm to make a positive difference. Through their fundraising efforts, teamwork and willingness to get involved, Belmont pupils demonstrated how small actions can come together to have a meaningful impact.

Thanks to the generosity of pupils, staff and families, the event was a great success and a fitting celebration of community spirit and charitable giving.
