- House Colour Run

As participants crossed the finish line at last night’s magnificent Colour Run, a stunning triple rainbow appeared overhead in celebration. It could not have been more fitting.
The Colour Run itself was absolutely brilliant. More than 500 members of the Belmont community, including pupils, parents, siblings and friends, came together to take part in a 1 to 2.5 kilometre run or walk, all while being doused in colour at various stations along the route. I had mistakenly thought that by being one of the paint distributors I might escape relatively clean. Clearly, my novice understanding was on full display. I am writing this with one pink hand, one green hand, an orange face, and a rather multicoloured Belmont tracksuit.
Alongside the fun, the event has raised in excess of £13,000 towards our astro turf project. Just as importantly, it brought our entire community together in such a fun and inclusive way. Thank you (and well done) to everyone who took part and contributed.
We are extremely grateful to Ms Goldthorpe for the many hours she dedicated to organising the event and ensuring its success.
