With an exciting year ahead as Belmont's Head Boy, we sat down with Freddie to find out how he felt when he was appointed, what he loves most about Belmont and the difference he hopes to make during his time in the role:
How did you feel when you found out you had been appointed Head Boy?
“I was extremely delighted as this is something I have been working hard towards achieving. I was so happy to tell my family and everyone was really proud of me.”
What are you most excited about in the role?
"To be able to improve the school, no matter how big or how small the change as well as working with everyone from across the School. I hope to make everyone feel welcome and encouraged.”
What has been your favourite memory or highlight from your time at the school so far?
"Becoming part of the School council, even though I had only joined in Year 7, this role really highlighted to me all the opportunities on offer here at Belmont.”
What makes our school special, and how would you describe it to someone considering joining?
"Everyone is made to feel so welcome. From the second you walk in you are greeted by people and everyone says hello and everyone is really friendly.”
What do you hope to achieve during your year as Head Boy/Head Girl?
"I hope to be able to listen to everyones ideas and work with Dr Abbott and all the younger years.”
What message would you like to share with pupils, parents and staff as you begin your role
"Take every opportunity that comes your way as you never know where this might lead to.”
