Year 7 House Drama 2025
Yesterday, our Year 7 pupils took to the stage and truly captivated both the pupils and parents in the audience with their House Drama performances. In less than two days of rehearsal, they delivered confident, polished performances, remembered their lines, sang songs, and even performed solos, all with remarkable energy and confidence.
Special thanks to Director of Theatrical Performance, Mr Alexander Gatherer, and Sixth Form pupil Ren T (Macgregor), from Mill Hill who assisted in judging this year’s performances. Their feedback included:
- Vikings: Astounding performance with phenomenal vocal expression, precise timing, and perfect unison.
- Danes: Heart warming, with exceptional physical storytelling and a real emotional connection.
- Jutes: Confident from the first moment, with excellent staging, costumes, and characterisation.
- Saxons: Impressive staging and entrances, with creative use of the whole stage and strong group cohesion.
- Angles: Beautifully conveyed themes of kindness and heart, with outstanding acting, comedy, and singing.
- Celts: Spectacular characterisation, excellent comic timing, and brilliant costumes.
The final results were:
- 1st: Vikings
- 2nd: Jutes
- 3rd: Angles
Congratulations to all Year 7 pupils for their hard work, creativity, and exceptional performances. It was a truly memorable event that highlighted their talent, dedication, and teamwork.
