1. Location, Space and Facilities

We have a world class learning environment. Few schools can boast the setting, facilities and sheer space that Mill Hill has to offer, all within easy reach of Central London.

Our school offers the best of both worlds – the vibrant city life and the tranquillity and safety of the countryside. We benefit from our own dedicated site on the Mill Hill Schools campus, which occupies over 120 acres of beautiful grounds.

We have top of the range sports facilities, complete with a full gym and swimming pool, a fantastic Art studio with its own garden, a Cookery classroom and a Music room equipped to deliver Music Technology. We also have state-of-the-art Science labs, Computing suite and a Design and Technology studio.

2. Small Class Sizes

All our lessons provide opportunities for pupils to discuss, investigate, challenge and be challenged, and as a result they develop not only their understanding but also their enjoyment of the subject. Benefiting from small class sizes, averaging 19 pupils, children are effective, aspirational and self-motivated learners. Through active learning we encourage pupils to ask questions and think critically.

3. Wellbeing and Eco-Consciousness

Our three school values of 'be kind, be brave, be you' in every aspect of school life are actively delivered. We believe that a child who is happy and safe in their environment will flourish, and so our pastoral care is tailored to individuals through our mentoring programme. The backbone of this is a team of outstanding tutors who get to know every child. They will support them each step of their journey with us.

Pupils will also belong to one of our six Houses, providing the opportunity to make friendships across the School and forming another layer of pastoral care.

As an eco-conscious school, we are proud recipients of the prestigious Green Flag award. We encourage our students to become environmentally responsible citizens, striving for innovative solutions in the face of climate change.

4. Extensive co-curricular activities and leadership opportunities

There are over 100 clubs each term and we always make sure we offer a breadth and variety of activities in each year group. This guarantees that every child will find their niche. Our co-curricular club are under four pillars, which are: physical, creative, cognitive, and community.

Being a small school offers the advantage of providing more opportunities for students to take on leadership roles. Whether it's being appointed as Head Boy or Head Girl or representing the School Council, there are plenty of ways for everyone to make their mark at school.

5. Future Skills

Future Skills is an exciting part of our curriculum that equips pupils with the skills needed for 21st century work and life. Pupils will work on 'The 7 Cs': Communication, Collaboration, Creativity, Critical Thinking, Calmness, Compassion and Character.

This area of curriculum encourages pupils to focus on continual improvement, rather than relying entirely on their grades to reflect their performance and achievement. We want to emphasise critical thinking and skills development across a range of areas.
