Friends of Belmont
Friends of Belmont (FOB) is our vibrant Parents’ Association, run in partnership with the school for the benefit of our pupils and the wider Belmont community. It is open to everyone, newcomers and long‑standing families alike, and plays an important role in school life.
FOB has two key aims: to bring our whole community together through wonderful social events and to raise funds for our chosen charities. Each year, the team organises much‑loved occasions such as the magical Christmas Fair, our famously competitive Quiz Night (now in its eighth year and still selling out within days), the ever‑popular Comedy & Curry Night and the show‑stopping B‑FEST summer fair. These events, along with other collaborative opportunities with the school, create moments where parents, pupils and staff can connect in a relaxed and joyful setting. We are also immensely proud of the funds raised annually for charities, emergency appeals and special extras that enhance school life.
There are many ways to get involved with FOB. Every class has one or two Class Reps who help coordinate social events and act as a link with the FOB committee. Other parents may prefer to support one‑off events or offer their skills- creative, organisational, IT, financial - or simply bring their enthusiasm, which is perhaps the most valuable contribution of all. Some parents choose to take on a more active role in the day‑to‑day running of FOB. Whatever your strengths or availability, there truly is a place for everyone.
Volunteering as a Class Rep or in any other capacity is a wonderful way to meet people and quickly feel part of the Belmont family. Whether you can spare a couple of hours for a single event or would like to take on a more involved role, we would be delighted to welcome you. Our events are special because of the incredible support we receive from parents and the school. When your child joins in September, please do consider volunteering as a Class Rep. We will guide and support you every step of the way.
